What kind of idiot do they think will buy and fit a more expensive, less effective, top named T1 module over the more readily available and effective T2 part if the skill prerequisites are the same? Srsly, wtf?

Upon coming back to the same spot in my hauler, my can had been replaced by his, and he was sitting there in a Nano Curse, orbiting the can at 8KM.

After waiting him out for 10 minutes, I decided that if he pops my hauler I don’t care, I want my fucking ore back. So I found an asteroid on a straight line drawn from a station, and his can. I approached that rock and when ready, aligned to station to “keep the motor running” as it were. As soon as I hit 1500 meters from the can, I opened it, took the ore (and his place holder he used to create said can, more on this in a bit), immediately selected the aligned station, and mashed the dock button.

I was instantly at warp and safely away before he could activate webs on me.

I did feel bad about stealing his place holder, so I did up a contract so that he could get it back…

Case in point there was a younger guy in an orange Pontiac G6 (this should almost be enough commentary on the quality of driver) on the way to work this morning. While his driving was acceptable, he gets negative 3 hojillion in the “Not a Douche Bag Fuck Face” category. This is due to his insistence that the world, is in fact, his fucking ashtray. Yes, god forbid you sully your Pontiac G-fucking-6 with your filthy habit.

On to the ranty bit, guess what Mr. Bag did with his ashes and butt? Flicked them out the window of course… Where they impacted the hood and windshield of my newly washed 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS. After the 3rd full cigarette butt hit my windshield, I dropped the car into 4 and pulled along side, rolled my window down, and let him know that:

HEY! Bitch tits! If I see you throw one more of those fucking things out your window, you’re DONE.

Not having anything intelligent to say to defend himself (or in general for that matter), he wisely said nothing, rolled up his window, and slid back in traffic.

Don’t want butts and ash in your car? Here is an idea; DON’T SMOKE IN IT THEN! Nobody else wants to deal with your habit.

I want to know the reason for this, as I had resources and ships on a character in my account, that I would want to use for a new character if I were to re subscribe.

The promptness of your reply will dictate whether I play EVE again or not.

Hi,

Our apologies for the late reply.

We banned your account for security reasons as your account had been accessed by a foreign IP that was solely used to hack into multiple accounts.

The account has now been unbanned. When we ban accounts, the password gets reset, so in order to retrieve your password, go to the following link: https://secure.eve-online.com/forgotpassword.asp

In order to keep your account safe, then change your password into a complex one and never change it back into the one used at the time of the hacking.

Also, check and clean your computer of any malicious software that might be installed. To aid you with that, you can use TrendMicro’s HouseCall, available here: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Furthermore, never use your EVE login info anywhere else on the Internet. The only place you should ever need to enter those details would be on our website and when logging into the EVE Online client.

Finally, it perhaps goes without saying, but it really can’t be stressed enough: Never consider purchasing ISK or items for real life money. Even just visiting those sites puts your computer at risk.

If you never disclose your password to anyone and keep your computer clean of trojans and any other viruses, then incidents of this kind should never happen.

Re clean PC: I do tier 3 DC ops. This goes without saying. I use ClamWin FYI.

Re using my login elsewhere: Nope would never do that. I did use it in EVEMon, like everyone else. Problem there?

Re buying ISK: I have never purchased imaginary money of any format, EVER. This includes but is not limited to; Pyreals, Credits, Gold, Plat, ISK, Diamonds, and Influence.

Years later, and with the perspective that piss poor memory gives me, I thought I was just bored enough to suck on some rocks again. As hurting as CCP is for subscribers you’d think they’d make that easy. They certainly like to give away free months here and there to old players, as my inbox will attest to.

Which is why it surprised me that they had banned my account. While it was inactive. I’d like to think it was revenge for all the mean shit I said about them, but I don’t kid myself into thinking anyone reads my site. So I petitioned it, and promise to crai some moar when I find out what their malfunction is.

I can say if it becomes a hassle, I’ll just go buy Red Faction: Guerrilla instead. I’m not cruiser mining enough trit to buy a battle-cruiser again. I’m not that fucking bored.

• Girls = No, check!
• 5 minutes of glory, goto 1, check!

Seriously, you can spend hours or days running down something that should be simple. For example, getting an audio driver to work reliably so that you can surf to your favorite tunes, only to spend the whole evening at the command line trying to figure out why the bastard won't compile in. Bonus points if you have to search forums filled with snide unhelpful social outcasts to find out where to get the correct kernel source package because your distro came with the wrong one! (woops! lawl!)

Lets compare the above list to a popular MMO, World of Warcraft:

• Mindless grinding to get to level 60 (70 now, woops wait, make that 80), so that you can play the real game.
• Stay up past your bedtime so that your team can take down the raid that should have taken 2 hours… 8 hours ago…

In summation, the only real difference I can see between the WoWs and Linux, is that at least WoW is a game that is sort of fun. Perhaps some people that are your friends are there as well. If this is what passes for news over at TenTonHammer, no wonder I have never heard of that site. IGN Vault is also syndicating the interview if that gives you any further insight into the validity of the news. The interviewer, Micajah, basically hands an easy sound bite to Bergsson on a silver fucking plater, and big surprise he knocks it out of the park, while declaring CCP basically above all reproach:

Magnus: They refuse to admit that they’re losing to another alliance, and the only explanation that they can figure out is that those guys are cheating. Not just that they’re cheating, but that they’re cheating in cooperation with employees at CCP. That seems to be the only logical explanation that they’re coming up with.

Today more news dropped involving leaked customer information and in game logs from an ISD account. Instead of investigating, CCP blames the ISD volunteer for not securing his PC. What about the evidence of favoritism on the part of CCP towards certain in game organizations, that is already appearing after only CURSORY analysis?

Regarding the Interviewer, at this point it doesn’t matter if they are guilty or not, you cant call yourself an impartial 3rd party when interviewing someone when you are doing so from the inside of their asshole! Anyone wanna take a bet that Micajah plays EVE in a certain giant Alliance…
